All backdrop pictures, or "scenes" are set to the height you choose and the length of the scene is based on the scale you are modeling in. To make sure the scenes retain their proper scale and do not distort when you need backdrops of a longer size, say an Ho Scale backdrop to cover a 40’ wall, just putting multiple backdrops one after the other is not very natural and doesn’t look good in most cases.
